Outdoor plugs are a great upgrade to old fashion timer or solar sensor outdoor plugs. Very easy to set up in GHome app and can be controlled to turn on and off, etc according to sunrise or sunset in your exact location of other events. Best to use the upper outlet of an outdoor GFI outlet with a vertical orientation based on the design of plug on the GHome outdoor plug

I purchased this for an outdoor bug zapper which is on timer as well as Alexa. I love it as it has rained and all works well.

This works perfectly for my specific need. I had an old X10 keypad plugged into a wall with buttons that controlled my pool light and pool waterfall. The waterfall was plugged into an exterior X10 outlet. I was able to use this WiFi outlet to eliminate the X10 unit and now use Alexa to turn on/off pool lighting and waterfall feature. I like the fact that each plug on the exterior WiFi controlled cord can be renamed to a specific function. I will use the 2nd plug during Christmas season to control my fence lighting using Alexa also.

Great product, I have 2vof them one for lights in the front of the house and in the back.
